Why TRE?

Introduction to TRE
In your first TRE (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises) session, the primary goal is to introduce your nervous system to its natural “reset” button in a safe, controlled way. You don’t need any prior experience or special fitness level; the process is gentle and focused entirely on your comfort. To effectively introduce Trauma Release Exercises (TRE), you need to bridge the gap between a physical “shaking” sensation and the emotional relief it provides. Whether in person or online, your goal is to make the process feel safe, natural, and empowering.

Follow up/Ongoing TRE
A TRE follow-up session is designed to deepen your integration of the practice while ensuring your nervous system remains balanced and regulated. Unlike the initial session, which focuses on learning the mechanics of the exercises, the follow-up centers on refining your self-regulation skills and observing how your body’s unique “tremor pattern” evolves. Your provider will guide you in “titrating” the experience—learning exactly when to slow down or stop to ensure the release feels therapeutic rather than overwhelming. This time also allows for a collaborative check-in on how your sleep, mood, and physical tension have shifted between appointments, helping you move toward a point where you feel confident and safe practicing TRE independently as a lifelong tool for stress management.

Community TRE Shake session
A TRE shake session involves performing a sequence of seven simple exercises designed to gently tire the muscles of the lower body, specifically targeting the psoas muscle—the primary muscle group where we store the “fight-or-flight” response. Once these muscles are activated and slightly fatigued, you lie on your back in a comfortable position to initiate a natural, involuntary vibrating or shaking known as neurogenic tremors. This rhythmic pulsing moves through the body, signaling the nervous system to release deep-seated muscular patterns of stress and chronic tension. Throughout the process, the focus remains on “self-regulation,” meaning you are encouraged to pause or stop at any time to ensure the experience remains calm, safe, and restorative.

Focused on Transformation and Synergy
Blending TRE® and Coaching for Lasting Change
Stuck figuring out your next steps? Sometimes we just need the space to gain clarity. Coaching provides a non-judgmental environment where you can explore options and discover solutions for yourself.
To truly move forward, however, we must also address the deep-seated tension held in the body. TRE (Tension, Stress & Trauma Release Excercises)® is a powerful somatic practice that calms the nervous system and allows the body to release chronic stress and heal itself—without the need to talk through every event.
By blending the clarity of Coaching with the somatic release of TRE®, we create a truly transformative approach that heals both the mind and the body.
A Note on Accessibility
My Commitment: Support is for Everyone
I firmly believe that financial limitations should never prevent anyone from accessing support. That is why I offer “Pay What You Can” options for all the treatments and services I provide. Please contact me directly to discuss how we can make your healing journey accessible., nec tempus lectus tincidunt eu. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, at mei dolore.
Is TRE® Right for Me? Safety and Your Best Path Forward
TRE® is a profoundly beneficial practice, but your safety and optimal healing are always our priority.
While TRE® is generally safe and self-regulating, certain existing physical or mental health conditions may mean we need to tailor our approach. If you have any concerns about pre-existing conditions, please contact me before booking your first session. We’ll have a confidential conversation to assess your needs and ensure you receive the safest, most effective support.
Working with Trauma and Individual Support
Healing is unique for everyone. If you are dealing with a history of PTSD, complex trauma, or developmental trauma, I strongly recommend beginning with one-to-one sessions.
For complex or developmental trauma, a blended approach is often best. I advise maintaining a supportive structure that includes a talking therapy (counselling or psychotherapy) alongside your TRE® practice. Going slow and having a supportive therapeutic relationship is key to safely and effectively processing deep-seated trauma.
We’ll work together to find the right pace and approach for your journey, ensuring you have the support you need every step of the way.
